Hello, my name is Pauline Boyle and I work as a Psychological Trauma Therapist, helping people cope with difficult life experiences. Although I trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), my approach to trauma is to develop a more holistic integrative approach to therapy which is tailored to individual needs. This includes elements from CBT, schema therapy and more bodily orientated psychotherapies such as EMDR (eye movement desensitisation therapy) and NLP (Neuro linguistic programming). My background is with the NHS, having worked 34 years as a Registered Nurse and then Community Nurse before training in CBT and practising as a Cognitive Behavioural therapist from 1998 until 2018 when I left the NHS. I have a Practitioner qualification in NLP and am presently undertaking training in EMDR which helps with the adaptive processing of traumatic material locked in part of our memory systems. Prior to joining the NHS I studied at Huddersfield University and received a BSc (Hons) in Behavioural Sciences.
Cost for one hour session is £60
