Hypnotherapy is one of the most rapid psychotherapies available. Using a combination of Hypnosis, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), relaxation and visualisation, Hypnotherapy seeks to unlock the healing power of the unconscious mind to restore harmony both physically and mentally.

Hypnosis is a state of mental relaxation and absorption during which we can become inwardly focused on the solution to any problem. It is a safe, natural state: contrary to popular belief you are always in control and can only do what you want to do.

NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) is about utilising language patterns designed to match how the brain works and so bring about rapid change.  It quickly accesses and resolves the essence and the root cause of your problem.

Biofeedback is the process of monitoring the body’s own responses to learn how to control them.  Biofeedback can be used for stress management and to ease the discomfort of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)  There is a link between your heart rate & rhythm, and your nervous systems.  Using the latest computer technology, we can use your heart rate (measured through your wrists) to teach you how to achieve the optimum balance of your internal nervous system which will help you gain control over your stress levels, relaxing you, as well as calming and soothing your bowel if you have IBS.  Once mastered you can use this technique yourself and free yourself from stress and/or the discomfort of Irritable Bowel.  This system is widely used in America and Sheila Ross, Clinical Hypnotherapist, has now brought it to Edinburgh. This can be done on its own or in conjunction with hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy is recognised by the medical profession as one of the few effective treatments for Irritable Bowel.

Nutrition optimises the overall health of your mind and body. A nutritional consultation can help you understand your eating habits and pinpoint the changes you need to make for total body health. Are you tired, listless, no energy? It could be your diet that is making you feel like this. Eat your way to feeling great and being your natural weight too.
