Jo Birch

Counsellor/psychotherapist, coach and supervisor.

Are you looking for personal support?

I’m an experienced, qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and coach. I work with people from all walks of life – our leaders and our unemployed; people from across the world; people of varied age, faith and ethnicity; LGBT people; people with mental health issues or chronic illness: people who feel sad and people who feel hopeful and ambitious…

Counselling/psychotherapy

I support people through difficult times - a relationship break-up; low confidence; the challenges of being a parent; bereavement; problems with colleagues at work; feelings arising from childhood events or trauma … all sorts of things. Sometimes people simply don’t know why they feel as they do. Counselling can help find a way through; come to a new understanding; see a different perspective; open up possibilities.

Coaching

Coaching supports people to focus on the future – to achieve lifetime dreams; personal goals; or explore the sense that there is more to life. I support people who want to discover, find options, change unhelpful patterns, and create new approaches to life’s challenges.

I also provide executive coaching for organisational leaders and senior managers. This focusses on issues arising from the workplace: the complexities of leading in today’s world; cross-cultural issues in global companies; creating better relationships; maintaining integrity under pressure… a confidential place to explore options and strategies before taking action.
